Affinity Designer file is corrupted suddenly (split)

Hey, so I have this well known problem, I have a file I wanted to save on an external drive and suddenly it says "The file appears to be corrupted". Now I'm a bit sad, hope you can make it work somehow.

I've attempted to recover your file but unfortunately haven't been able to, so I've logged it with our developers to see if they can do anything, however I can't provide any eta on when it will be looked at.

If you have a backup of the file I suggest using that instead.
