I have a persistent spinning ball problem while running Affinity Photo (1.10.5) on a Mac M1 Mini (2020) (16GB RAM) running Monterey 12.4.  Typically, in my workflow, I select a photo using the photo app and select edit with Affinity Photo.  Affinity Photo loads fine and I begin working on the photo making some simple adjustments.  I select print and the print dialog box opens.  3 out of 5 times, the spinning ball will appear while I set the parameters for the print.  I am attempting to print to an Epson XP-15000.  I have to Force Quit Affinity Photo and start the workflow over again.  I am using dual LG HDR 4K screens and I have turned off "High Dynamic Range".  I have been running Affinity Photo on an older iMac with no difficulty in the past and only recently have tried to use it on the M1 Mini.  At this point it renders the application almost useless.  I would like to know of a fix as everything I have seen on the internet discussion groups has not resolved the problem.

Hi @AVodraska,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums & I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble!

Firstly, please open the Affinity app and navigate to Affinity Photo > Preferences > Performance and provide a screenshot of your settings here for me.

Secondly, please open Apple > System Preferences > Displays and untick Automatically Adjust Brightness - as there is a known issue in Affinity currently on M1 devices with this option enabled -

I hope this helps :)
