I'm working with an artist on a project that needs multiple layers exported from Affinity Designer. The artist is most comfortable in Photoshop, and I'd like to continue using Affinity.

Everything works great except when it comes to exporting - I need to be able to create slices, send the file back to the artist for them to work on, and then receive it back with modifications but the slices intact.

As far as I can tell this isn't supported by Affinity Designer. Files can only be saved to `.afdesign` format. Exporting to PSD exports a flattened version with no slices. There's no way to export or import your slice settings for a given file.

Is there any other way that I could maintain, or export/import, my slices and settings? Could I export these slice settings to a .PSD? Is there any way to inspect/open the .afdesign file, perhaps in/to XML or JSON?

As far as I can tell my only option is to purchase Photoshop instead of Affinity, and to do all my slicing and exporting there.

Hi @soundasleep

Have you tried the export persona  exportpersona.png.b64c34d1897760f7eecc7d7acb3196de.png to creating sllices and export them as .psd?

Do you mean creating the slices in Affinity, and then exporting the file as .psd? Yes - if I do that, the layers are still present in the .psd, but the slices are lost.
