Nat20
Was this ever resolved? I'm running into the same issue (also on an M1 Mac, but I don't have a backup) when exporting a print-ready PDF. I've tried rasterizing the problem image, but it still exports incorrectly.
Nat20
I also tried exporting using PDF (Flatten), but that's even worse—some of the images are still messed up, but now text is as well, and all the text is a little blurry.
Nat20
The bug appears to occur when "Allow JPEG compression" is turned off. In that case, a workaround would be leaving JPEG compression on but setting the quality to 100. I don't know if that still compresses JPEGs somewhat—if so, it's not ideal—but it does allow me to export with images intact.
Kiwibonds
I don't think so. I tried Affinity Publisher version 2 and have not had these issues appearing with V2, so that might be your safest bet. I'm sure they will be less focused on V1 now...! Mine were mainly TIF image files.
Nat20
Unfortunately, I'm already using Publisher version 2! I'm definitely still seeing the bug.
Kiwibonds
Oh no! I'm a M2 Macbook air on OSX Monterey. Couldn't get the problem to go away on Publisher 1 with this new Mac, but since trying Publisher 2 I have had no problems with PDF output, and am not aware of any changes made to the settings. I make a 64 page CMYK printed magazine, almost all pictures are high resolution TIFs, sometimes with a few JPEGS. Not sure if this helps but these are my output settings.
