Hey everyone,

I did not find anything similar in the forum, so here it goes:

Whenever I want to open ANY existing Affinity (Publisher or Designer) document (which I created and worked with many times on my laptop) I get the same error despite granting all three Affinity programs full hard disk access: Error when opening the file due to missing authorisation. Same happens, when I create a new document (in Publisher or Designer) and try to save it on my computer: Error while saving. You do not have permission to create files at this save position. Do you want to save the document as a new file? When I try to save it as a new file, I can select any of my folders, still get the same error back and the file can therefore not be saved.

I used all three Affinity programs for probably over a year now and it was all smooth sailing. I do not recall when this first started happening and especially not, what was a cause, as I´ve updated the software since the error occurred and deinstalled and reinstalled it as well without effect.

The error did first occur only in Publisher with Publisher files, sneaky me tried to open the Publisher file in Affinity Designer, which worked at first, it does not anymore. I thought a software update would solve this but it did only get worse: Now I cannot open any document created with Affinity programs.

Just today I updated all three programs to version 1.10.5, did not change anything unfortunately.

Can anybody help me? Did this also happen to some of you? I´m thankful for everything as I am now not able to work with Publisher anymore which is a huge inconvenience as I am a designer who relies on these programs for my freelance work.

(Macbook Pro, early 2013s, 2,7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1 GB, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB, that´s all the hardware details).

All the best to you all, thank you and if you have any questions because I forgot to mention some details – just let me know.
