Affinity Designer export as pdf shows white border around some elements

Recommended Posts

I am working a on project in Affinity Designer and exporting it as a pdf. But whenever I export, the exported files shows a huge white border around one of the elements which shouldn't be there as shown below:

Can someone please help me solve this problem? Thank you so much!

Hello @DWright
Thanks for the quick reply!
The setting of the document is: A1, 300 DPI, RGB/8, sRGB IEC61966-2.1
The setting I'm trying to exporting the PDF file as is PDF (For Print), 300 DPI, Area Whole Document
I have tried to play around with the DPI under this setting but unfortunately have no luck.

Very interestingly, I noticed a few strange behaviour of this export issue and was able to solve the issue through making some changes. First, I had a group of object like shown below:1181979863_ScreenShot2022-03-21at8_50_14PM.thumb.png.534df5aad6e1ff4d6a6918628d14a9c5.png

I noticed that if I ungrouped the problematic selection and export like this:

This happens and the entire group end up having the white out line.

And than I tried to delete that problematic group like this: 1415658711_ScreenShot2022-03-21at9_07_58PM.thumb.png.386bf64ba19a249fc6d1331b67c2f762.png

This happens and the problem is transferred to another element in the group, and it continues existing when deleting every single one of the items.

So here is my luck. After ungrouping the group and ungrouping the first problematic element like shown below: 1839234653_ScreenShot2022-03-21at9_10_49PM.thumb.png.d6b32d0f6bdfb4d6e0bdeaa8c83d54b9.png

It finally exported correctly:

So I don't know if this is meant to be like this and it's a mistake on my side or just some kind of bug. But anyways as I was able to export in the end I'm all good. Just hope this helps you better understand the problem! Thanks again for your time.
