I have Affinity Designer on 2 computers and one iPad. On one computer, I have affinity 1.7.2 and whenever I open files I make elsewhere on that computer, they say that they were made with a newer version. So I'd like to update, but I don't see anything in the app store and don't see the option to check for updates in the menu within Affinity Designer. How can I update?

ETA: I am on a mac running High Sierra.

Thanks!

Can you please confirm for me, was the application purchased from the Mac App Store, or the Affinity Store?

I believe it would have been from the Mac App Store, in which case I recommend the following:

  • Open the Mac App Store
  • Sign Out of your Apple ID account
  • Restart your Mac
  • Open the Mac App Store
  • Sign into your Apple ID account
  • Navigate to the Updates section
  • Use Store > Refresh from the top menu

Do your updates now show here? Please note you need to be signed into the same Apple account that was originally used to make the purchase of the app.

I hope this helps!
