Hi folks.  I've searched to no avail so apologies if this has been covered before.

I'm a fairly experienced snapper and have used Raw for a very long time on DSLR's etc.  On my iPhoneX I used raw via Halide and used DxO Pure Raw and then Affinity.  I am now a new owner of an iPhone 13Pro and keen to get the most out of Pro Raw.  However if I go to Mac Photos and 'Edit with' and choose Affinity, an Apple Pro Raw file opens as a Tiff.  Is that normal?  If I download the 'unprocessed original' and then open that from Affinity it opens as a DNG but also seems to be more pixelated.

Thoughts on the above welcome and is there any guidance on working with Apple's Pro Raw?  I can't find it via 'search'.

Many thanks

Yes this is normal, Affinity opens the image it is passed from Photos, which in this case is a TIF file.

The only way to work with the DNG file is the method you have found.
