Affinity Publisher crashes when I add a header to a master page

Recommended Posts

I try to add a header to a master page of a new blank document. I insert a text box to the header area. After writing the first header word, I press the SPACE bar to add a second word, and Publisher crashes immediately. I relaunch Publisher and do it again and it crashes again. I use a Windows 10 PC, an almost brand new machine. Very frustrating experience. What should I do to prevent the crash? Any ideas? Thanks.

Not something I can replicate on my Windows system, are you using a non standard font? Try resetting the app to see if that resolves the issue, hold down CTRL and open the app, now when the window appears released the key and click Clear.

If you still experience an issue, can you do a short screen recording, showing the app crash

Lee, thanks for your response. I am not using any non-standard fonts. I am using ARIAL Plain, which is a system font. I tried the resetting method you recommended but it didn't work. I'm trying to type "TOP 10 TIPS" to the Master Page Header. After typing the word "TOP", I press the SPACE BAR to create space and to follow with the number "10" and that's when Affinity Publisher crashes every time. It's a very frustrating experience which means I will not be able to use AP for any layout projects. I'm attaching a short Mvideo as to what happens. Many thanks for your kind help in advance. Ugur
