I have just started using affinity photo editor on my Mac Pro. After cropping the image I am unable to put a white border round my photos? I tried the  crop tool and the resize canvas to no avail. Can someone advise?

Hi dither,
Welcome the the Affinity Forums!

There are options to create a border. In short, for instance with an additional rectangle object which got a stroke assigned, or via an effect … Here's a longer story:

Hi Thomaso. Thank you very much for your response. Being stuck in the dark ages, I found it hard to follow the advice in some (most) of the conversations. However, I did manage to make a connection, to what one contributor had written, to my experiences with photo shop elements and that was the stroke outline as it is known in photoshop and the outline in Affinity. This is going to be a steep learning curve for me. lol Still waiting for the guide book to arrive? Let me thank you again for your very prompt response.

Kind Regards

Ian
