I've read threads on this topic before, but never found what seems to be a definitive answer.

I have Affinity on the iPad and would like to use it for all my files if possible. I use it for the RAW files from my Canon EOS R6 and it works great with those.

However, currently, opening a Proraw file from my iPhone 12 pro max, the file is opened several stops overexposed and takes a considerable amount of tweaking to even get it to a usable state, which rather defeats the purpose.

This seems to have been an issue since Proraw started. I'm currently using Lightroom to process the Proraws, but it would be much more convenient to only use one program.

Has there been any progress with respect to this? As far as I'm aware, my version of Affinity is fully up to date.

Hi @Brit Abroad,

Welcome to the forum.

Can you please check that in the Assistant Option the the Affinity Photo Preferences that the RAW Engine selected is set to Apple and if you are running the newer version of the iPadOS then these RAW files will be supported.

Thanks for the response. I did check the Assistant option, and the RAW Engine is set to Apple - "Apple (Core Image RAW)" to be specific. Out of curiosity I set it to the other option (Serif Labs), and the opposite happens: the picture is considerably underexposed.

When I set it back to Apple, and then opened a Proraw file, the file looks fine for a brief moment, but then switches to being significantly overexposed.
