GoodGameKitty Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 (edited) Every time I create a new text frame, even if I have a non-all caps font selected, the text frame defaults to my title font (which is an all-caps font) and when I try switch to a different text style, the all-caps remain. No matter what settings I look into or what I do, I cannot get my paragraph text to NOT be all-caps! Please help, this is driving me insane and the only solution I've found so far is to COMPLETELY rebuild the document, from scratch. This is a 200+ page book that gets updated monthly. I really cannot afford to have to do that every single month. EDIT: And now, creating a whole new document doesn't help. Affinity seems to just force all text to forever be all-caps, and if I can't get this sorted out this product is less than useless to me and I've wasted far too much money purchasing it for myself and the people that I work with. Old Bruce Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Hit the little 'reset' arrow. You can see that there is a + next to the name "Paragraph Plain" and then some attributes. Hitting the 'reset' arrow will get rid of the extras. Note, you'll need to have the text caret in the actual text somewhere for this to take effect. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

You literally saved me from having to spend 12-16 hours/day for the next week working on this. I've got a deadline to meet if I want my bills paid and I am literally crying, thank you so much!! Quote
Old Bruce Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Use a copy that you can delete to test the following. Check the Text > Reapply Text Styles and Reapply Base Styles for more wide spread problem fixing. This is very very aggressive work that will occur, all local attributes will be removed. Only use this if you have used Paragraph and Character Styles for everything.
