pineman Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 (edited) I am very new to Affinity and have a query about closing it. My main computer is an Apple M1 iMac running Mac OS Monterey. Affinity Photo launches correctly from the icon in the dock and operates as it should but if I then ‘close’ Affinity using the red button I cannot re-launch it unless I ‘quit’ it fully first. I also have another iMac running Mac OS Catalina and it behaves in the same way. Is this the way Affinity is intended to operate? Edited November 22, 2021 by pineman Quote
Staff Callum Posted November 22, 2021 Staff Posted November 22, 2021 Hi PineMan, This is because hitting the Red close button just closes the active window and not the actual software. If you select the apps icon you should notice the bar along the top of your mac changes to once that says Affinity Photo at the top left corner. If you go to File > New from this menu the app will re open. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
pineman Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 Thanks very much for that explanation. Now it makes sense. Quote
