Hello

Since this morning Affinity photo 1.10.4.1198 freeze (app not responding) as soon as I do anything : open a file, create a new file, double clic on an existing file, etc.

I'm on Windows 10 and my drivers are up to date.

I already tried to :

- change some settings (disable open CL in preferences)

- clear all options with the menu by holding ctrl

- reinstall the app (with a new installer downloaded from serif)

- delete the 1.0 folder in appdata/Affinity/Photo

I still could use the app last week and now I can't. I don't know what happenned but It's very frustrating. Thanks in advance for helping me.

Hello @Yodaxy01 and welcome to the forums.

Maybe there is a defective Windows system component or an .NET. To check that, please run the System File Checker. To do so press Windows key + R, choose CMD (Administrator), type sfc /schannow and press Enter.

Hello @Komatös

I tried to install an older version of Affinity Photo (1.9.2) and this version worked without issues.

I am not sure if installing an older version really resolved my problem because I have multiple screens and I turned on my secondary screen before running 1.9.2 for the first time and I suspect that the problem was from here.

I tried the sfc /scannow and It repaired some files, after that I updated again to 1.10.4 and now it works. Thank you very much.

I'm not really sure it come from the dual screens maybe messing with the graphic driver but if anyone has the same problem you can try. Hope it'll help somebody.
