Gerwyn Giovanni Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Hello, I'm new here and wanted to be able to do work from Adobe Illustrator on the go. But when I import the files to AD, it seems like most shape (mostly circles) have separated fills and stroke. Is there a fix to this? Some of the dots are also missing the center, is this a bug or is there any fix? broken.mp4 Quote
Gerwyn Giovanni Posted November 14, 2021 Author Posted November 14, 2021 It seems like other people don't have this problem, I guess I'll refund it and get the Illustrator subscription 😢 Quote
Staff Callum Posted November 15, 2021 Staff Posted November 15, 2021 Hi Gerwyn Giovanni, Welcome to the forums We have a reduced number of staff working from the forums on weekends so you may find you don't get an answer until Monday such as in this case. Please could you tell me which version of Illustrator this was saved in? Please could you provide a screenshot showing how the file looks in illustrator or another app so I can compare it to Affinity? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Gerwyn Giovanni Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 (edited) @Callum Hi thanks for the response. I've tried saving it in almost every version and also as .pdf, still the same outcome. I'm using Adobe Illustrator 2020. Shapes that are CIRCLE have their FILL and STROKE separated, while other mostly are fine, there are also some which have their FILL and STROKE separated. You can see on Illustrator (LEFT), the CIRCLE (<Elipse>) is not a group, and is a singular object. While on AD (RIGHT), the circle is divided into two, Elipse for the stroke, and Curve for the fill.
