AP healing brush misbehavior

Recommended Posts

I'm using the trial version of Affinity Photo and am having some weird healing brush behavior.  I am using a pixel layer called SPOT sitting above a grouped layer that consists of several adjustment layers and a base pixel layer with the original image (the adjustments are curves with alpha masks to selectively edit some color defects in the original scanned black and white image).  I have the healing brush set to use current layer and below.  After selecting a source area I go to heal up a spot on the image and instead of a basically black and whitish fix I get a bright pink fix over light areas or green over dark areas.  The attached image shows what I'm talking about (I enlarged the brush a lot to make the effect really obvious).  I've also tried moving my layer SPOT into the top slot inside the adjustment layer group and but it doesn't make a difference.

Any ideas?  Thanks  -Mike
