Random deletion of rectangular sections on pixel mode

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I am having an issue in which I will be painting as normal in pixel mode and then the next brush stroke will trigger a random deletion/vanishing of chunks of the layer I’m working on (like a glitch; it always has sharp edges. Sometimes it’s somewhat small and sometimes it’s half the layer like in the picture attached). It occurs every few hours but I’m not sure if something is triggering it. It is never the same size or texture as the paintbrush I’m using and seems to occur using all sorts of brushes. The real problem is that I also can’t recover the section missing. Undoing it does not  bring back what was there in any recent history, nor does exiting the program or restarting my iPad. I either have to go far back in my undo history or just try to refill the section to get it back to what it looked like. Any ideas?

Picture shows recent occrrance where almost all the layer is gone. There was previously almost complete shadowing on the entire face and now it just shows the light base layer underneath in most places.
