Error message

“Loading Failed. Unable to load document” received after several days of no activity on that document. I originally imported a graphic created in Graphic for iPad, but saved to Adobe Creative Cloud and successfully made additions to it, so I’m concerned about how to retrieve those changes. I panicked a bit and created a new document from the same source, which opened successfully, but I’m reluctant to start making changes for fear the same error message will appear again for that document. 

I need help, as I am new to Designer.

Do you still have a copy of the file that was giving the failing to load error on the Homescreen of Affinity?
