Woodpig Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 (edited) Hi everyone, I may just be an idiot, but I'm experiencing what I think may be a bug. I'm using Affinity Publisher, and using the pen tool to create a curved path that I'm then placing text on. However, the line seems to have a black stroke applied to it which doesn't disappear, no matter what I do. If I select the nodes it tells me there is no stroke, only a fill - and if I get rid of that, then the text disappears! Any ideas? By the way, I've used the same technique elsewhere in the document, and it's fine (so, it's happened twice). Thanks, Gareth. Edited August 13, 2021 by Woodpig Quote
G13RL Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Hi @Woodpig, use the "Text Frame" tab in the studio to change or remove this stroke. Woodpig 1 Quote
Woodpig Posted August 13, 2021 Author Posted August 13, 2021 Thank you so much. Told you I was an idiot! Quote
G13RL Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Not at all, Publisher is the only one of the three Affinity applications to behave in this way, in Designer and Photo the stroke disappears systematically, if you want to keep it you have to duplicate it before applying a text. Quote
Woodpig Posted August 13, 2021 Author Posted August 13, 2021 I see. Perhaps not so stupid, then. I did think I was going crazy, and that particular panel (text frames) wasn't showing at the time, so I didn't even know it was a separate option. Thank you again for taking the time to explain. Quote
