mweaver
Hi all, Not sure if anyone will be able to help on here but here goes! I'm working on a Shared iPad setup using Jamf and have run into a couple of issues. The primary issue seems to be that every time a user logs into Shared iPad and opens either Affinity Designer or Photo, it's requesting that the user registers the app. You can of course skip it by selecting 'Don't show me again', but as this occurs every time a user signs in it's not ideal. If anyone knows or can share the App Configuration (strings, keys, etc.) that could really help. If this is the wrong forum for this type of question, I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. Many thanks! Staff stokerg Posted July 28, 2021 Staff Share Posted July 28, 2021 Hi @Miff.Weaverand Welcome to the Forums, As the Affinity apps come from the App Store on the iPad, they are not available to Jamf or configuration and there isn't a great deal you can do, other than have the users tap on 'Don't Show Me Again'. mweaver
mweaver
Hey @stokerg thanks for the warm welcome and info! Unfortunately even if a user selects 'Don't Show Me Again' it still pops up next time they sign into a fresh iPad. Some apps do allow iOS/iPadOS configuration through MDM. Microsoft have some great configuration options via xml https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/app-configuration-policies-use-ios https://www.appconfig.org are trying to make this kind of stuff more accessible for devs and users, there's not a massive amount of devs involved as of yet, but it's a start! Thanks for getting back to me, I'll keep my fingers crossed for future developments. Cheers! Miff

I'm in a similar situation now with Affinity v2 for iPad. I have assigned the programmes to a site in Jamf via School Manager and then make them available via Self Service. However, I a) don't want to provide the Activation Code to the users and b) also don't want to have to pick up each iPad to enter the Affinity ID and Activation Code. Unfortunately appconfig.org is currently down and I can't find any information about my problem in the Jamf Nation. Many thanks in advance Robert Edited December 12, 2022 by pfotenhauer
