Make more handles on images shapes etc

When working very zoomed in on an image, in order to adjust the, top, bottom, left or right borders its necessary to go to the mid section of each axis to find the central handle to drag in the appropriate direction, this can be a long way away if the image is large and you are zoomed in and only need to tweak the zoomed in edge.

 

Instead to only have handles at each mid point, could they placed more frequently, say every 1/8 or even 1/4 along each respective border?
