AI files not importing correctly in AD

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Every time that I open an old AI file, it makes notes of things that need to be adapted for AD. When it opens, the file looks nothing like the source file. Often times it is corrupted.
If I read correctly, I should have saved files with the box ticked that it is "PDF compatible".
I only make simple designs for work and learn as I go, so I am sure I missed the obvious.
However, I do not have AI any longer and cannot fix my mistakes.

What can I do to get the AI files to open successfully in AD?

Install the Illustrator trial version which will give you a week to fix all your mistakes and save as PDF compatible again.
