Elear48 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 A new Affinity user. Starting now with El Capitano OS. Can't find a way to 'inpaint'. The inpaint brush does not appear on the left hand toolbar, and in the Edit dropdown menu it is greyed out. I have the fully paid version of Affinity not the trial. Any suggestions? tabnox 1 Quote
Staff MEB Posted October 23, 2015 Staff Posted October 23, 2015 Hi Elear48, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Press and hold the mouse over the Healing Brush Tool (the 6th icon counting from bottom) a few moments to display a submenu with more tools. The Inpainting Brush Tool is there. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
PettitPoint Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Hi I am just trialling the Affinity Photo prior to purchasing. I want to try the inpainting brush tool as I viewed in the tutorial. I found the inpainting brush tool without a problem and have paused the tutorial to make sure all the buttons/fields/layers are in place as per the tute but nothing happens when I try to use the brush tool. Is the trial not fully operational? Is there something silly I am missing? Thanks PP Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 24, 2015 Staff Posted November 24, 2015 Hi PettitPoint, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Make sure you have the correct layer selected and that's identified as a (Pixel) layer in the Layers panel. If it's identified as an (Image) right-click on it and select Rasterise.... then try the Inpainting Brush Tool again. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
