Kurt Koeberler
I believe I have followed all the correct procedures to load The NIk Collection 3 as plugin. All the different programs appear in the 'Filters/Plugins/Nik collection' however I can only access " HDR Efex 2'. What Have I missed ?????? Staff MEB Posted March 26, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 26, 2021 Hi Kurt, Welcome to Affinity Forums Most plugins only work with 8 or 16 bit RGB images. Convert the image from 32 bits to one of these formats going to menu Document > Convert Format/ ICC Profile. Change the Colour Format (first dropdown) to RGB/8 or RGB/16 and the rest of the plugins will become available. Kurt Koeberler
MEB, If the " HDR Efex 2' is accessible after loading the DXO folder, why not the others. Is there a bug in my Affinity programme ??
Staff MEB Posted March 26, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 26, 2021 The HDR Efex 2 is the only plugin from the Nik Collection that works with 32bit images which is the type of image you are working with. All the others only work with 8bit or 16bit images. There's no bug here - it's how Nik Collection is designed to work in any host application (it happens the same in Photoshop for example). To be able to use the rest of the plugins go to menu Document > Convert Format / ICC Profile, change the Colour Format (first dropdown) to RGB/16 or RGB/8 and the rest of the plugins will become available.
