Chafi Charneco Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Hello everyone. I've been having such a hard time finding a tutorial on how to create my own brushes after scanning handmade lines. I scanned the images at 1200 dpi and inverted colors. Then I sliced them in Export Persona as .png and then added it to the brushes to use. My problem is that I cannot remove the background from the images. Would love to read your thoughts on this. Thank you in advance. Quote
firstdefence Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Welcome to the forum @Chafi Charneco Which app are you using? In Affinity Photo you can use your images to make intensity brushes, so the black background will be transparent and the white will show as a brush stroke. Chafi Charneco Posted March 25, 2021 Author Posted March 25, 2021 I will definitely try it! Thank you! Quote
Chafi Charneco Posted March 25, 2021 Author Posted March 25, 2021 I could do it in AD, but can't in AP. It keeps the black background. I tried to remove the black with everything I can find, but it keeps the background, no matter if black or white. 😞 Quote
firstdefence Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 The screenshot above is from Affinity Photo, I created a category and then using your png files created the four intensity brushes: Chafi's Brushes.afbrushes Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
