Affinity Photo Export Image really slow

Recommended Posts

I opned a .pdf (35MB) with embedded Hi-Res images in 300dpi and try to export as a 9000x6000px .gif but it really takes too long. More than 5 minutes already and counting.

I tried the same before with 600dpi and 18000x12000px .gif but I had to cancel because the progress bar wasn't moving.

It's just using half a core on a 24 thread machine with 64GB of RAM with the fastest M.2 SSD you can find. I'd say I have the spare resources but they are not being used.

The problem is I am trying to hit exactly the 5MB file size limit of Twitter, so I have to export it over and over again until I hit the 5MB mark. If that takes a couple of minutes every time and I cannot klick anything else beclause the controls are locked during export it's really inconvienent.
