Rohan Ch
Hello, I am new to Affinity Photo. I am trying to save a .afphoto document in .PSD format. It does successfully export the file but for some reason only the background layer gets deleted. When I open the .PSD file again in Affinity Photo the background layer is not visible. Can someone help me with this? Also, I've made the switch to Affinity Photo recently and I've been loving it. Thank you.
firstdefence
Welcome to the forum @Rohan Ch It would help if you could upload the file, a screenshot or two or a link to either if the forum will not let you add files yet. The first screenshot shows the PSD file open in Affinity Photo. The second screenshot shows the .afphoto file open in Affinity Photo. So when I save the .afphoto file to PSD and open the PSD file it does not show the background. Don't know why. This is just one of the artworks that it has happened on. This has happened in 3 other artworks. Please ignore the red squares. This is private work, hope you don't mind. Thanks & Regards.
firstdefence
Re red squares, not at all. With regard to the BG group, in the PSD open in Affinity Photo, it looks like none of the layers in that group are turned on. The swirl overlay is there visually but not checked/ticked by the look of it. Are there any other layers in the BG group within the PSD file and are the checked/ticked so they are visible? Also are any of the BG group layers set to Blend mode: Erase.
