If your app is crashing when opening/creating a file then this usually means your GPU drivers are out of date. Please visit the manufactures website to download the latest available drivers, during installation we recommend selecting 'Clean Install' if offered, as this will remove any old drivers from your system. Once installed, please restart your PC and then try creating a new document/opening a document in Affinity once again - does this now open without crashing for you? I've tried to open Affinity Designer using additional GPU (not integrated) and now, after switch to integrated Intel GPU everything works fine.
