Levihy
Hi, I wondered if anyone was able to provide a tutorial or any kind of help. I'm trying to take two completely seperate pictures of people and merge them together so that they look as one. I've managed to cut them out, but find that it seems very ropey around the egdes. I'm also struggling to find the options to put any kind of filter on the picture (notice the picture shows a fade around the edges, lighter to darker etc). I've attached the end product i want to get too. I'm currently using my ipad to do this if that makes any difference. I'm trying to start merging these pictures of lost loved ones etc, so I want them to be good. Thanks in advance!

Perhaps you could upload a sample of one photo for testing best way to select person? Generally, selection tools on iPad are very good, but depending on resolution, background contrast and context menu settings, results will vary. The higher the resolution the better. If necessary maybe Resample to higher res (mixed results but helps with low res images). 8 hours ago, Levihy said: I'm also struggling to find the options to put any kind of filter on the picture (notice the picture shows a fade around the edges, lighter to darker etc). The cutout head shot layers can be placed over any colour or background layer. The current background appears to be a Vignette filter. 8 hours ago, Levihy said: I'm also struggling to find the options to put any kind of filter on the picture Not sure what you mean? You can’t find the filters or you're not sure which to use? You can subscribe to Ezras utube channel (free), for lots of detailed advice on iPad and Photo portrait techniques. I'm not affiliated with them but found them to be a good learning resource. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC6xPJ4dx82vSjysPUyjlCsw?sub_confirmation=1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
