Tutorials for the masking brush

Recommended Posts

Are there any tutorials for using the masking brushes? I can't seem to find any tutorials anywhere. I played around with it and was able to create the effect with the existing masking brushes but would like a more in depth tutorial. Is there also a way to create new masking brushes? The attached image is a watercolor effect as an example.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @g.w2020.

I'm sure someone will have some ideas for you about using masking brushes for that purpose. As for making new ones, I'm not sure there's anything special about making a masking brush vs making any other kind of brush in Affinity Photo. Again, though, someone with more expertise in that area than I will probably be along, and I'll learn something, too.
