Filters I apply don’t show up in Layers

Hi, 

 

I’m trying to apply a Gaussian Blur filter and it will create the effect, but even after I hit apply it will not show on my layers tab and it’s driving me crazy. Attached is a screenshot of the blur applied to the lady but nothing showing in the layers tab. 
 

I’ve tried adding other filters to see if it was just Gaussian blur and I experienced the same issue on my iPad.

Are you adding it as a Live Filter? If not, you cannot adjust again.

Thank you! This fixed it. If I may ask, what is a Live filter? Does it just mean it is changeable after applying it?
