Framer Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Bought both programs in 2017 and they worked fine until a few days ago. Uninstalled and reinstalled both programs but neither of them will open. Just get a blank screen and right clicking brings up a message 'Affinity Designer is not responding' same for Affinity Photo. These programs hang up so badly that my Think Pad laptop freezes requiring a hard reboot. Crash reports for both programs are attached below. All help will be appreciated but keep it simple please I am a program user not coder
Staff stokerg Posted November 30, 2020 Staff Posted November 30, 2020 Hi @Framer and Welcome to the Forums, Can you just try starting Affinity with the Control key held down and you should get a popup about clearing some settings, 3 options will be selected and you can just click on Clear. Affinity should then start as normal. If that doesn't happen, could you just check the details on this thread for colour profiles, as we have had some cases where an incorrect colour profile has stopped the apps from launching.
