MacOS: AffinityPublisher - different versions appear in OPEN WITH

Recommended Posts

MacOS High Sierra

Right Click on a file opens a dialogue, where one can choose OPEN WITH.

Strangely for AffinityPublisher, the previously installed old version 1.8.4, and the not any more funacctional BETA are still there. I have to select 1.8.4 to actually run 1.8.6. Selecting 1.8.6 results in nothing. No action from the computer.

Strangely, in the APPLICATION folder, there is only one APP AffintiyPublisher. How can on get rid of the non functional versions?

See atatched screen shot.

Hi @JP-C,

Can you just confirm if you are using the Mac App Store version of Publisher or the Affinity Store version?

For the Beta, it's likely in your downloads folder (unless you moved it after downloading) as it would of been a downloadable .app file you can run from any location, so if you delete that from Downloads, it should get removed from that list.

Hi @stokerg,

I am not using APP STORE software. All my software is purchased in your WEBSITE and downloaded form your WEBSITE. I did not know that there was an APP STORE version at the time of purchase...

By the way, the version 1.8.4 is removed form that list now. I have deleted the FULL VERSION and reinstalled 1.8.6.

Noted your comment about the BETA. Yes, it still is in teh DOWNLAOD folder.
