Logo Dimensions (with ADesigner)

Recommended Posts

I am making a logo (the type at up-left side) for my website. I never learned how to handle dimensions in Affinity Designer. Does anyone know:

1) Document Setup:  I think I should choose Pixel as unit, but  what is the ideal size for that?  I am going to draw my logo with vector persona.

2) Export: Because the Logo has to be PNG file, when I export as PNG, what is that ideal dimension range should I choose?

Thanks.

Hi @Ying,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
If you are drawing you logo as a vector the dimensions are not much relevant. Vector objects are resolution independent and can be scaled up or down as required without losing quality. If you are exporting to PNG/use the image on a website, use pixels as unit. As said before the dimension of the document itself is a bit irrelevant with vector objects. What matters is the size of the exported image/the intended use. In this instance what's the size you want you logo appear on the top left corner? Typical logos varies between 250 x 100px up to 400 x 250 pixels depending on their desired size, detail, orientation (vertical/horizontal) etc.

Another option you have is to export it as SVG which is a vector format and then simply set in code the dimension you want it to appear on the page.
