Integrate character style sheets into paragraph style sheets.

Recommended Posts

Bonjour,

Hello,
Would it be possible to consider incorporating character style sheets into paragraph style sheets?
This would have the huge advantage of instantly updating all paragraph style sheets sharing this character style sheet.
For example, a client asks me to replace typo xxx everywhere in the document with yyy. Change the character style sheet and you’re done.
It’s magical, isn’t it?

Toujours pas !

The term typo is short for Typographic Mistake. Meaning, more or less, that it is a wrongly spelled word.

To actually respond to what you probably want (according again to my friends at DeepL.com) to change the typeface of a Paragraph style one just goes into the Font section of the Paragraph Style in the Text Styles panel

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

@Old Bruce

My English is not great and I go through a translator.
The idea is to integrate a character style sheet as a complement or instead of the character description into the paragraph style sheet.
This is, more or less, what I tried to simulate in the attached capture (I added a character style field that allows you to retrieve all or part of the description).
The application prioritizes the description of the character style sheet and customizes what you want in the paragraph style sheet. This is body 10 (text size).
A proper layout would be to position the character style sheet first and the standard description second.
I don’t know if it’s very clear in the text.
