BengalCats
Hi, I’m new to Afinity. I read from different site to use a soft layer, then add printer and paper profile. What if you use generic photo paper? Can you also bypass Afinity printer management and use Canon printer management? Has anyone use Afinity with Canon ip8720? Trying get better understanding of operation before I waste inkn and paper since there are so many options. Thanks

What if you use generic photo paper? This all depends on the printer you're using, I recommend consulting the manual to see what is recommended in regards to soft-proofing, colour and paper profiles - as each printer / document is different. If you want to use File > Print within Affinity then there's no way to use Canon Printer Management, however you can always export your document from Affinity to PDF (File > Export) then print this PDF externally using Canons Printer Management software. I hope this helps!
