Phil_Sydney
Hi There, I am not an expert with Affinity Designer and have been using it at it’s most basic to draw vectors and send the designs to a third party company for engraving. In a previous version of Affinity there was a ‘combine’ selected vector function which I used to attempt to unify the whole design which had been made up of the various branches, leafs etc. simply overlapping. Everything appeared fine but when the engraving company did their work the art work had jumped across nodes in straight lines, rather than follow the curves. What is the correct procedure to prepare a fully vectored and combined file with the latest Affinity Designer ? Second image shows typical cross section of overlapping components. Thanks, Phil Thanks, Phil
Staff Lee D Posted September 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 17, 2020 With all the curve layers selected, have you tried the Merge Curves option (Layer > Geometry >Merge Curves), this should create a single curves layer.
