neville
As far as I can tell, the only set of assets included in the Assets Panel in Affinity Designer is for iOS 12. Nothing for any other iOS version, nothing for Android / Material Design, nothing for Windows GUI, etc. This is quite surprising and also quite disappointing. I see there's a free tool called Figma (which I haven't used), which supposedly has lots of assets for designing and prototyping various modern Operating System UIs. Presumably it is therefore easier to do UI design for software applications on iOS/Android/Windows/Mac with something like Figma than it is with Affinity Designer, even though Figma is free? GarryP
If you want more Assets then you can search for them in these forums and in the wider web. (I’m fairly sure that I’ve seen Windows, Material Design and Android UI Assets somewhere.) I haven’t used Figma either so I can’t say whether that is easier to use for UI design but I would say that you should use whichever software does the job you need it to do in the way that is closest to what you need to do with it. Note: Figma is only free if you only need to use it in a limited way, otherwise it is more expensive per month than Adobe XD.
