Glen W Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 I'm using version 1.84 of Affinity Publisher and printing to an HP LaserJet Pro M402n printer. Images that I create from Affinity Photo and link to documents in Affinity Publisher sometimes print garbled. (See attachment.) I've tried printing using linked jpegs, tiffs and native Affinity Photo images without success. The only solution that I've found is to save the Affinity Publisher document as a PDF file and then print from that. Is this a bug? Has anyone else experienced this? Garbled_Image.afphoto Quote
Dan C Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Hi @Glen W, Welcome to the the forums I've downloaded and opening your .afphoto file here and it appears as follows - I'd just like to check, is this what you're expecting to see here, or does this match the 'garbled' output you're seeing when printing? Many thanks in advance! Quote
Glen W Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 Hi Dan, that is the garbled image. Some of the image does print, but the majority of it prints incorrectly as different grey scale rectangles. Quote
Dan C Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Thanks for confirming that Glen, this appears to be corrupted Pixel data and unfortunately the layer cannot be recovered. From what source was this layer added into Affinity Photo please? Quote
Glen W Posted August 29, 2020 Author Posted August 29, 2020 I think I found the answer to my printing problem. I updated my print driver and so far, everything is printing as expected. Dan C 1 Quote
