-nj-
Whenever I try to edit several ARW files, Affinity causes my entire Mac to crash. This happens usually when... - I try to open a file with several others open (sometimes, 3 files is sufficient) - I try to develop a RAW with other files open - I try to open an ARW file if I worked on several other files before and closed them. I'm currently quitting and restarting the application completely for every single file I work on. The consequences are always the same: my computer becomes unresponsive, the trackpad doesn't allow clicking anymore, and after a minute or two, the Kernel Panic death screen appears. I've set the memory warning limit to 4GB (disk space is sufficient), but I hardly ever encounter any warning because the program will crash way before reaching 4GB. I'm using 1.8.4 on an Early 2015 Macbook Pro running Catalina 10.15.6.
