Using Affinity Photo 1.8.3.641 - TOTAL CRASH

Recommended Posts

Just want to add myself to the list of recent crashes.

Using Affinity Photo 1.8.3.641, and reloading an image to continue working, as I go back through the history slider, the whole app crashes, no matter how many times I reload that same file I get the same problem. If I start from scratch and repeat the same actions I don't have a problem. Somewhere along the work process of the problem file I seem to have introduced a bug? I don't know not the expert here.

I have the same issue when I start to load a new file, a few times the app will totally crash, no warning so no crash report.

I'm not saying that this a problem with affinity's software, but it only seems to occur with this app. Personally I think it could just be a microsoft glitch which shuts but as I said I'm no expert. As there are so many user of  Microsoft it could be a common denominator...all guesswork.

So hoping you can help please?

Thanks

Hi Burlives,

Sorry to hear the trouble you are having.  A crash on new document or when opening a file is normally related to graphics card drivers and doing a clean install of them should resolve the issue.  As for the history slider crash, could you save your file with History (File>Save History with document) and upload it here and i'll see if i can replicate it :)

I'd also suggest trying the late beta from here but please note, anything saved in the beta can't be opened in the release build, so i'd suggest making a copy of your file before opening it in the beta :)
