Basically what i'm trying to do it color in any image for an online class project but what I found really wasn't working so I don't know if someone could make a tutorial on this with affinity photo if you have the time or explain how in the best was possible so I can "understand" (learning style wise) since i'm still trying to learn more about affinity or if you know a better method or anything would just as helpful.

Thanks for reading if you did, hopefully I posted this in the right spot.

Hi @TheEditorCharles,

My sincerest apologies for the delayed response here!

I can confirm that the Gradient Map tool works very similarly in Affinity Photo as it does in Photoshop. I recommend checking out the below tutorials regarding selections and the Gradient Map tool -

Selections & Refinement - https://affinity.serif.com/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/334273469

Gradient Map - https://affinity.serif.com/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/332662533

As a test, I downloaded a manga page and created a screen recording showing a rough use of the Gradient Map to colour the image -

I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
