NikWhn Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I've just bough today AD for iPad. First of all to create vector illustration in engraving style. On previews in app-store we can see couple of screenshots where is shown something like that. And also in description it is written that AD app is able to export vector file formats (svg, eps, pdf). So ok, that sounds good. I need my artworks created in AD in vector format to continue working with them on a desktop. There are many beautiful "engraving style" brushes in the app, so I managed to quickly create an illustration in the required style. But when I started exporting it to a vector (it tried all file-formats), I found that these brushes are not exported properly! Moreover, in the iPad app, they cannot be converted to outlines! If I export in vector format, these brushes will be converted to regular straight line vector objects which have nothing similar with those used in artwork! How can i solve this problem? How can I get my illustration created in AD on iPad transformed in custom vector format looking exactly like it is created? They are rather detailed and saving them as a raster and then simply trasing is impossible, cos due to tiny details and loads of strokes tracing engine cannot trace them properly. Is here any solution? I could not find situation like this in HELP or here on forum. Thank you Quote
Staff Lee D Posted July 2, 2020 Staff Posted July 2, 2020 The Engraving brushes are actually high resolution bitmaps and aren't vector based, so when exporting they are rasterised. This applies to both desktop and iPad versions of Designer. Quote
