Make a Grid and “Free Transform” as Vector - Impossible?

This is a last ditch effort for a Solution I didn’t assume would be Impossible to do. My entire Project relies on this feature...and now seems Dead. I’ve Posted before...please tell me I’ve missed Something.

i need to Create a Grid with a Certain amount of lines Horizontal and Vertical (easy).

I the need this to be 1 Object I can change to different Trapezoid Shape. It needs to stay Vector...I can’t have it Pixelizing.

Common Sense says:

1. Make the Grid with Vector Tool

2. Group Vector Lines into 1 Object

3. Move Nodes in each Corner to reshape

But not possible as far as I can tell or anyone has been able to show me how to do. I am baffled by this.

Anyone that can solve this issue, saves my entire Project and will receive huge Good Karma in the Process.

i want to be shown I am an idiot because I can’t figure this out. Please make me one.

Perhaps SHEAR is the tool you need in the transform studio?
