Imported brushes not appearing in drop down box

I imported some new brushes onto my affinity designer but they are not appearing on the brushes drop down box. has anyone else had this problem and if so how do i fix it?

If they are pixel brushes you need to switch to the Pixel persona and check if you can see the brushes there
