I use designer and publisher in version 1.8.3 (windows) and keep getting many errors "missing dictionary for language de-DE-phoneb" (german system, german publisher texts). I suppose publisher tries to spellcheck my embedded designer pictures. In normal text frames spell checking works ok. How can I get rid of those errors?

Hi @Hornebom,

Welcome to the forums :)

Publisher will be using the Language set in the Character Studio for each text box, if you wish to change this so that you no longer see the warning, please select the text object, open the Character Studio and then change the following dropdown to 'None' -

I hope this helps!

Hi Dan,

you are right, if I change the setting from 'de-DE-phoneb' (unknown) to 'Deutsch-Deutschland', all is well.

The question is: why does publisher use this weird default setting? My windows system is plain german.

@Hornebom - My apologies for the delayed response here!

Does this language setting get selected automatically when creating a new, blank document? I've seen strange language settings appear after copy and pasting content from specific sites/applications, so this may be the reason you're seeing this option here.
