Custom Keyboard Shortcuts aren't working.

I am running Affinity Designer on a iPad Pro 12.9 and just can't get my custom keyboard shortcuts to work. They are assigned I can see in the list but they don't work. I can still use Designer's default shortcuts so I know my keyboard is working. I have restarted the App and my iPad and same result. Any ideas?

Can you let me know which shortcuts you're setting up and to which keys and also your keyboards make and model. Are you also running the latest version of iPadOS?

Yes, latest version of iPadOS.
Keyboard is Omoton model KB066  (the default Designer shortcuts DO work)

My custom shortcuts are:
Send to back - Command B
Send to front - Command F
Ungroup - Command U

I realize that some of these commands override other functions, but they were ones I don't use.

Also, is there a way to set a command for "delete"? I thought for sure the delete button would delete an object but it seems that I have to go to the trash can button on the screen, is that correct?

Also I didn't mention I am running this on a 1st gen 2015 iPad Pro. I didn't know if that made a difference or not.
