TLohwin Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Whenever I move around an image or even a plain shape, my cpu usage spikes to nearly 100% usage. The size of the image affects the cpu usage; smaller images range around 40-60%. Its especially apparent when moving an image rapidly. I have no other applications or files open and nothing else in the document. Its the same problem with my laptop and this doesn't occur in photoshop. Staff DWright Posted March 16, 2020 Staff Posted March 16, 2020 Hi @TLohwin, Welcome to the forum The Affinity apps use the CPU to process actions so as you are moving around the process usage will increase as the program calculate the new screen display, other programs do not have the increase on the CPU you as they offload this process to the GPU instead, we may introduce a similar feature in a future version of the apps but there are no timeframe for doing this.
