Subulike Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 Working on a publishing project, I work on photos in Affinity Photo, create copies of the worked image and save them to an external hard drive before pulling them onto my page layout in InDesign. I save a back up of the InDesign file to the hard drive and keep a live working copy on my Mac desktop. However when I return to the project and open up the InDesign file, certain images disappear, their space on the page turning black. When I go to where the image is stored on the hard drive, the image will only display as the Affinity Photo icon, won't open, and appears to be corrupted. I have to go back to the raw image and work on it all over again and have had to do this three times for the same image now. Is there something I should be doing to stop this? It's only happening on certain images, but enough to be a worry. Quote
