Indexing/ opening documents page.

Hello , I think the entire browsing and first page is good , working ok but needs a bit more attention and be more dynamic . Would give the entire app a different feel. 
 

per example if we try to open an image from Dropbox app or any other app and affinity has a photo already opened , the app gives a message ‘ cannot import , Please close the current document .., ‘ would be great if this is done automatically.

I'm afraid I'm a bit lost here.  Which application, version and platform are you referring to specifically?  I almost want to think you are referring to the iPad version (in which case you are on the wrong forum - should be at: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/54-feedback-for-affinity-designer-on-ipad/ for Designer or https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/44-feedback-for-affinity-photo-on-ipad/ for Photo)...

 

Note that with the desktop versions, it is a bad idea to open Affinity documents directly from Dropbox or other "cloud storage" locations, as the sync process has been known to corrupt the files when they are being edited.  If you are not on the iPad, you should instead copy the documents to a local storage location (somewhere outside of the Dropbox folder), make your changes, and copy them back after closing them in the Affinity applications.

If you are on the desktop versions, this sounds like it might be a bug?  It definitely is not the behavior I would expect.
